To have an open and indepedent mind is the greatest accomplishment a man/woman can ever have.We should look at every issue however small or big from this angle,your inviduality must account for the biggest proportion on any decision. However, this does not mean that we ignore others or other influencing factors in our life consider them before final decision of course you must sacrifice sometimes but remain forcused.
